CFL FANS FIGHT CANCER

Canadian Football League fans brought their signature energy and generosity to Winnipeg this year, turning their love of the game into meaningful support for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. Fans from across the league came together in the host city to raise funds, build community, and show that rivalries stay on the field when it comes to supporting cancer care. Their passion and teamwork made a lasting impact for Manitobans facing cancer—and proved that the CFL fans shows up in powerful ways.

HOCKEY

Hockey is woven into the fabric of Manitoba—played on backyard rinks, in community arenas, and celebrated by fans who live and breathe the game. That passion has translated into powerful support for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, with players, teams, and hockey communities stepping up through amazing fundraising efforts. From puck drop to final buzzer, the hockey community continues to show that the heart of the game goes far beyond the ice, helping fund care and research for Manitobans facing cancer.

COMMUNITY

Lights for Mom was a heartfelt light display transforming love and remembrance into meaningful action. By inviting the community to gather and enjoy the light display Lights for Mom raised over $2,265.

“‘Lights For Mom’ allows me to continue my mom’s legacy of creating the joy and magic of the holiday season. Continuing her legacy in a way that will impact many other families, either through the warmth and joy of experiencing the light display or, through the care they receive from CancerCare Manitoba. I look forward to continuing this legacy and watching it grow year after year.” —Jeff

HEROES OF HOPE

Principal for the Day at Ecole RW Bobby Bend School

Kids have an incredible ability to make a difference, and when their energy and creativity are combined with the guidance of teachers and the support of parents, the impact is even bigger. Schools across Manitoba have shown how fundraising can be both fun and powerful, with students leading the way through bake sales, walkathons, and creative projects that raise awareness and vital funds for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. We are so grateful to the amazing teachers, parents, and students whose dedication and teamwork turn every small effort into a meaningful contribution—proving that the next generation can change lives today.
