World Cancer Day is Thursday, February 4. To highlight this very important day across our province, the Foundation has partnered with many locally-owned coffee shops for our first-ever A Cup for Tomorrow campaign. These enthusiastic partners have committed to help raise awareness and funds in support of cancer prevention and screening activities at CancerCare Manitoba. Activities which help Manitobans like Murray Harrison.
A few years ago, Murray received a colorectal home screening kit in the mail from CancerCare Manitoba on his 50th birthday. A healthy and active person, he thought he didn’t need to complete the test. With his wife’s encouragement, Murray took the test. He was sure glad he did as it detected early stage colon cancer.
The generous support of donors and committed partners is helping to save lives by funding cancer prevention and early detection initiatives.
