We are extremely fortunate to have access to world-class healthcare within our small province of Manitoba. This is something you truly do not appreciate until having lived your own experience with CancerCare Manitoba.

CancerCare Manitoba works tirelessly to not only care for those living with cancer, but also further research leading to an ultimate goal of finding a cure.

Living with cancer makes you appreciate the little things in life and see what truly matters. We have full hearts, clear eyes, and a passion for life everyday – what more can you ask for in this life?

What started as a fund in lieu of gifts for our recent wedding has snowballed into something much larger. Over the past two years, because of the generosity of our family, friends, business colleagues and the loving community in which we live over $50,000 was donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. We are very grateful for the opportunity to continue to assist the Foundation to fundraise for the countless activities they support.

We hold various events throughout the year such as golf tournaments, holiday dinners, public appeals and speaking engagements, among others. All funds raised through these events are donated to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

We continue to live for today, hope for tomorrow, and dream of forever – a forever that no longer includes in-curable cancer.

Thank you in advance for your donation. You are changing lives, including ours.

Alex Long’s Double Mount Everest Challenge @ Winnipeg Winter Club
Feb 1 @ 9:00 am – Feb 2 @ 10:00 pm

Last Year, WWC member Alex Long climbed the distance of Mount Everest on the Jacob’s Ladder in one day! He did this challenge for fun as part of the WWC February Fitness Challenge. The original challenge was to climb the distance of Mount Everest on the Jacob’s Ladder throughout the entire month. This year, Alex wants to climb the mountain 2 times in 2 days! What an incredible feat this will be! Alex is doing this to raise funds for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, a charity near and dear to his and many of our hearts.

CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is the only organization exclusively fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba. While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, some programs and services may not be eligible for government funding. CancerCare Manitoba Foundation raises funds to bridge this gap and help deliver the best research, patient care, treatment and support for all Manitobans and their families living with cancer.

Each year more than 6,000 Manitobans receive a cancer diagnosis. Your continued support helps CancerCare Manitoba and its partners prepare for an estimated 50% increase in the number of people diagnosed and living with cancer over the next decade.

By supporting me with a donation, you are helping to support CancerCare Manitoba in its work to change lives and change the course of cancer in our province.

Every donation -no matter how big or small- is critical as we work together to stay ahead of this disease.

Thank you for your consideration.
